Meet the baker - Mandy. Once a fast-paced marketing professional in New York City working at various startups, marketing agencies, and Fortune 500 companies, Mandy’s life was a constant whirlwind. She thrived on deadlines, meetings, and juggling the responsibilities of a career-driven woman, a devoted mom, and a loving wife. Balancing a demanding career, motherhood, earning her MBA, and constantly feeling the need to stay one step ahead. Despite her success, something was missing.
Raised in a family of Italian bakers, Mandy developed a deep love for the craft of baking, where quality ingredients and tradition were key. Her mother and great-grandmother’s kitchens were filled with the warmth of homemade bread and pastries. It was more than just cooking; it was tradition, connection, and love. Yet, as Mandy got older and entered the fast-paced world of business, baking became a distant memory.
After reaching a breaking point, Mandy turned to sourdough as a way to slow down and reconnect with herself. The patient, methodical process of baking became her escape, allowing her to find peace in a world that never stopped. What began as a therapeutic hobby soon blossomed into a passion, and she began sharing her creations with others.
